"He wants to go home."
"What’s your favorite thing about her?"
"She still gets giddy when she sees a firefly."
"They say it’s gonna snow tomorrow. Well I just got a bottle of whiskey. So let it fucking snow."
It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

Summer check in:
-Zac Brown Band at Merriweather. Incredibly oversold show & the night ended in the Columbia Emergency Room. But! Still a memorable evening.
-White Ford Bronco @ State Theater. Probably the 7th or 8th time I’ve seen them- and this was their best show. I will continue to drag friends to their shows until everyone loves DC’s greatest cover band.
-Crabs at Kent Island with Jenn. It’s been our summer tradition since college- pitchers of beer, people watching at Red Eyes & ice cream for the drive over the Bay Bridge. I drove this time!
-Memorial Day in Houston with Virginia. Perfect weekend filled with dog parks, beaches, pool time & reminiscing.
-4th of July at Camp Nancy. Spent my favorite holiday with my pup & some of my favorite people. Drank too much High Life, had tubing competitions & finally made it to the local bar on doo wop night. Ridiculously entertaining.
It has been a music filled, jam packed summer. This weekend is no exception- Belle & Sebastian tomorrow night @ Merriweather, early train to Philly Saturday, Color Run Sunday morning, train back to DC, Yacht Rock Revue @ Hamilton Live Sunday night.
I’ll sleep in the winter.
